Officials say the investment will modernize facilities, boost safety, and support the broader Northwest Ohio economy by keeping local air service reliable for residents and businesses.
   

• Tuesday baseball: Defiance splits unusual doubleheader with O-G and Archbold (crescent-news.com) — Defiance High School’s baseball team split an unusual Tuesday doubleheader, finishing a postponed win at Ottawa-Glandorf before falling at home to Archbold. With the Western Buckeye League race tight, Defiance can still clinch at least a share of the league title in its regular-season finale at home against Lima Bath on Friday, May 22.
   

• NSCC Commencement Ceremony Recognizes 228 Graduates (mercercountyoutlook.net) — Northwest State Community College just honored 228 new graduates, most from its six-county service area that includes Defiance County. Local students, including Tinora alum Jason Dewyse, were highlighted alongside Distinguished Alumni and a keynote from State Senator Jane Timken, underscoring the college’s growing role in education and workforce development for northwest Ohio communities.
