1. Local restaurant under new ownership just days after food service license revoked by Health District (614now.com) — Delaware’s only Indian restaurant space at 44 Sandusky St. may soon reopen as Desi Tadka Northern Indian Cuisine under new ownership after its previous food service license was revoked. Health officials say the new operators must fully reapply, fix past violations, and pass inspection before serving customers again, so there’s no clear reopening date yet.
   

2. Attorney for indicted driver requests dismissal of charges (delgazette.com) — A truck driver charged in a deadly nine-vehicle crash near the I-71/U.S. 36 exit is asking a Delaware County judge to dismiss his vehicular homicide case, arguing a state official’s comments tainted his right to a fair trial. The case, still before Judge Marianne Hemmeter, involves an Ashley family’s deaths and keeps the defendant held in Delaware County Jail as a June trial date approaches.
   

3. Reaction to farmers' market changes mixed (delgazette.com) — Downtown Delaware’s Saturday farmers’ market will move from the sidewalks into North Sandusky Street this season, closing the block between William and Winter streets from 9 a.m. to noon starting May 23. Business owners are split, with some worried about 23 straight weeks of closures and parking access, while others welcome safer, roomier streets and increased foot traffic.
   

4. Delaware services for disabled residents threatened by levy failure (nbc4i.com) — A narrowly failed county levy could force cuts to developmental disability services that many Delaware County residents, including those in Delaware, rely on daily. Officials are weighing which non-mandated programs, like early intervention, might be reduced while they prepare a new levy attempt for November. Families and advocates warn that vulnerable residents without strong support networks could be hit hardest.
