Elyria council OKs 471K emergency purchase for 10 new police vehicles (cleveland.com) β Elyria City Council has approved an emergency $471,000 purchase for up to 10 new pursuit-rated police vehicles, including Ford Explorer Interceptors and F-150 trucks. City officials say the move lets them grab in-stock vehicles now, replace aging high-mileage cruisers, and add trucks that can better handle tasks like hauling recovered bicycles and other bulky items.
