• Summit County Dispatch Center Named Ohio's Best (nordoniahills.news) — Fairlawn's 911 calls are handled by an award-winning team: the Summit Emergency Communications Center was just named Ohio's Gold Star Dispatch Center of the Year. The county says this shared system helps Fairlawn and neighboring communities access better technology, coordinated emergency response, and consistently trained dispatchers whenever residents dial for help.

• Bath Nature Preserve improvements include new horse trail (scriptype.com) — Just up the road from Fairlawn, Bath Nature Preserve is getting upgrades that better complement the nearby Fairlawn Rotary Observatory, including replacing a gravel path with grass and adding new picnic areas. A new West Ridge horse trail now links existing paths into a loop, improving rides for therapeutic program Victory Gallop and giving local walkers and runners another scenic route.
