Sheetz Opens $169 Million Distribution Center in Ohio (convenience.org) — A new $169 million Sheetz food manufacturing and distribution center in Findlay is set to begin operations October 11, eventually creating more than 750 jobs for local residents and the wider Hancock County area. The company already employs over 200 people at the site and highlighted its long-term commitment to the community, while also donating $10,000 to the West Ohio Food Bank in recognition of Hunger Action Day.

Hancock Public Health Reports Measles Case with Multiple Exposures (wfin.com) — Hancock Public Health has confirmed a measles case in Findlay with potential exposure at multiple local locations, and is urging anyone who was present during the listed times to complete a close-contact form online. Residents are reminded how measles spreads, who is considered protected, and when to contact their healthcare provider or the health department for guidance.
   

3. 1976 Alum Donates New UF Sign Promoting Oiler Spirit (findlay.edu) — A new UF sign now welcomes students and visitors at Davis and Cory streets on the University of Findlay campus, celebrating Oiler pride in a highly visible spot. Donated by 1976 alum Jeffrey Seever and his wife Ruth, the landmark complements the Spirit Rock and Cory Street mall, and continues the couple’s long tradition of supporting Findlay students through endowed scholarships.
   

4. University of Findlay Announces Spring 2027 Transfer Match Program (findlay.edu) — The University of Findlay is launching a Spring 2027 Transfer Match program that can significantly lower costs for students moving from another college into UF. By matching what students would have paid out of pocket elsewhere for that semester, the initiative aims to ease financial worries and encourage transfers to continue their degrees in Findlay.
   

5. Football Recap: Tough Loss for Northview (maxpreps.com) — Whitmer’s football team rolled past Northview 56-7, extending its home win streak and setting up a big conference showdown with Findlay at 7 p.m. Friday. With Whitmer’s offense averaging over 40 points at home and key playmakers hitting their stride, Findlay fans can expect a high-scoring, emotional rivalry matchup that could reshape the conference race.
