• OHHA awards scholarships to 13 outstanding students – U.S. Trotting News (ustrottingnews.com) — Franklin resident Sarah Martin has been awarded an Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association scholarship to support her equine science studies at Wilmington College. The longtime 4-H member and licensed groom plans to become a veterinarian serving the Standardbred racing community, joining 12 other Ohio- and region-based students recognized for their academic work and harness racing involvement. 
• Bishop Fenwick (Franklin), Roger Bacon (St. Bernard) Advance to OHSAA Region 16 Championship Thursday at Day Air Ballpark (oursportscentral.com) — Franklin’s Bishop Fenwick Falcons have powered into the OHSAA Division IV Region 16 championship after a 16–6 win over Licking Valley, and will face Roger Bacon Thursday at 2 p.m. at Dayton’s Day Air Ballpark. Fans can buy online-only day passes through the OHSAA ticketing site, with winners advancing toward the state semifinals in Akron.
