• 18 killed in vehicle crashes in Ohio during Independence Day weekend (dispatch.com) — An Ohio State Highway Patrol report shows 18 people died in vehicle crashes statewide over the Independence Day weekend, including a man from Gahanna killed in a semi-truck crash in Madison County. Troopers logged hundreds of crashes and many citations for distracted driving, seat belt violations, and impaired driving. The numbers are sharply higher than last year’s holiday period.
