• Heise Park restrooms closed following vandalism spree (crawfordcountynow.com) — Heise Park’s restrooms in Galion are closed indefinitely after repeated vandalism left both facilities badly damaged and unusable. City officials say similar damage has hit several other parks this summer and are asking residents to report suspicious activity to police to help protect these shared spaces and speed repairs.
   

• Success comes on Day 1 of Division II sectional girls tennis tourney (mansfieldnewsjournal.com) — Richland County tennis players dominated the first day of the Division II sectional tournament, with several securing district berths. Galion’s Katelyn McMullen and Destiny Blue both fell in straight sets to Madison and Shelby opponents, while the tournament now moves to semifinals and finals at Shelby High School before district play begins in Port Clinton.
