CareFlight transports teen after crash (dailyadvocate.com) — Emergency crews from Greenville Township and Greenville City responded Monday to a serious two-vehicle crash on State Route 571 that sent an 18-year-old Union City driver to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight. Her passenger was taken to Wayne HealthCare, while a Greenville mother and her infant son were treated at the scene and released.

2. Commissioners File for Several Grant Applications (mycountylink.com) — Darke County Commissioners approved major funding moves Tuesday, including opioid revenue disbursement, a pay raise for a sewer district worker, and several grant filings. Greenville residents are directly affected through housing work on Cypress and East 4th streets, a Brownfield application for Pine Street, and broader infrastructure grants for nearby villages that share county services and resources.

3. Oswalt named MVL Player of the Year; MVL honors announced (dailyadvocate.com) — Greenville High School’s softball program just swept major MVL honors, with sophomore pitcher-slugger Ella Oswalt repeating as MVL Softball Athlete of the Year and coach Jerrod Newland named Coach of the Year. Several Lady Wave teammates also earned First Team All-MVL spots, and two Greenville baseball players, including Second Team pick Chilly Jasenski, were recognized for strong seasons.

4. Head-on crash turns fatal on SR 571 (dailyadvocate.com) — Emergency crews from Greenville Township and Greenville City responded Tuesday to a deadly head-on crash on State Route 571, where a Troy woman died at the scene and an 82-year-old Greenville man was airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital. The Darke County Sheriff’s Office and Coroner are continuing to investigate the collision in the 2600 block of SR 571.

5. Ronda (Warrick) Miley (83) (mycountylink.com) — Longtime Greenville City Schools teacher Ronda (Warrick) Miley, 83, who also taught water aerobics at the Greenville YMCA, has passed away. A private celebration of life will be held at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville, with memorial contributions suggested to Greenville Public Library or Darke County Park District.
