• Dump truck accident downs power lines, closes Tri-State Road (local12.com) — Stahlheber Road is shut down between NW Washington Blvd. and Arbor Springs Drive in Hamilton after a dump truck hit a utility pole, bringing down power lines Friday morning. Crews are repairing the pole and lines, and nearby residents may see temporary power outages while the city works to reopen the road, though there’s no estimate yet on timing.
   

• Area lawmaker with worst attendance record in Ohio House after stroke seeking reelection (springfieldnewssun.com) — Hamilton residents are being asked to decide whether to reelect State Rep. Diane Mullins, whose district stretches from Hamilton to Oxford and who has faced questions over missed votes after a 2025 stroke. Challengers argue the area lacked representation during her extended absence, while Mullins says her health has improved and she’s ready to focus on homelessness, workforce development, small businesses, and abortion policy in a second term.
