• Enraged mother arrested after coming home to find daughter drinking and smoking: Highland Heights Police Blotter (cleveland.com) — Police in Highland Heights recently handled a domestic violence arrest on Brainard Road after a mother allegedly fought with her adult daughter over drinking and marijuana, along with several other disturbance and assistance calls around the city. Officers also responded to an unwanted guest on Williamsburg, a family phone dispute brought in from Mayfield Heights, a complaint about a rude stump removal company, and loud music on Ransome Road.
   

• Governor's state appointments for June 5, 2026 (metromonthly.net) — Highland Heights resident James G. Pilla has been appointed to the Cleveland State University Board of Trustees, giving the city a direct voice in the school’s long-term governance. His term runs from June 5, 2026 through May 1, 2032, alongside dozens of other statewide appointments announced by Gov. Mike DeWine.
