• Planning commission will host second land use plan meeting - (vindy.com) — Hubbard residents are invited to a key Trumbull County land-use planning meeting Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Liberty Township Building on Churchill-Hubbard Road, focused specifically on Hubbard city and township and nearby communities. Officials want local input on how southeastern Trumbull County should grow, develop, and preserve land, so your comments can directly shape future zoning, farmland protection, and development priorities. 
• Man sentenced after Harding Park scare (wkbn.com) — A man involved in a June scare at Hubbard Township's Harding Park baseball fields has been sentenced to two years of probation and fines after pleading to using weapons while intoxicated. More serious charges were dismissed, but he must avoid the park and forfeit multiple seized firearms, following an incident where a "shots fired" shout sent families running in fear.
