• Construction begins on 5 roundabouts along U.S. Route 6 connecting Sandusky and Huron in Erie County (news5cleveland.com) — Drivers traveling between Huron and Sandusky will see years of changes as ODOT builds five new roundabouts along U.S. Route 6 and nearby ramps, with work already closing two Rye Beach Road ramps. While major closures are mostly planned for 2027, Huron-area motorists should expect shifting traffic patterns through project completion in June 2029. 
• Edison girls capture sectional title (sanduskyregister.com) — Huron High School’s girls golf team finished fourth at the Division II sectional, but standout golfer Ashtynn Spooner shot a 78 to qualify individually for districts for the second straight year. Local teammates contributed solid rounds despite tough, cold conditions, and area schools like Edison, Bellevue, Vermilion, and others also posted competitive scores at Woussickett Golf Course.
• Century farms play important role (sanduskyregister.com) — Families in Huron and Erie counties are among nearly 40 farms recognized as Ohio Historic Family Farms, honoring more than a century of continuous family ownership. The story explains how these century, sesquicentennial, and bicentennial farms preserve land, pass down hard-earned agricultural knowledge, and work with groups like Western Reserve Land Conservancy to keep local acreage in production.
