Seniors including York, Ashley Nuss, and Ava Butcher were honored with their families before the dramatic finish that sent the Jackson Center dugout pouring onto the field. 
• Law enforcement professionals complete crisis academy (sidneydailynews.com) — Jackson Center residents should know their police chief, Joseph Mahan, has completed advanced crisis intervention training alongside other Shelby County officers. The four-day Tri-County academy in April focused on recognizing mental health and substance-use crises and safely connecting people with help, adding another layer of specialized response skills to local law enforcement.
