Yesterday the Love Truck team went out with 45 bags of food and passed them out to the poor in downtown Akron, Oh. We went out on foot to look for people to hand the bags out to. I thought that we had too many and that we weren't going to find many people to give them to. I was wrong, there were people literally running to us to get food. It reminded me of how people throw out bread crumbs for the birds. Only difference is these people were humans, just like you and me. Some of them lived in a homeless shelter but many of them lived outside in tents. Some slept in cars and some slept in a park on the benches. There were way too many and I wanted to feed them all but we eventually ran out.
