AMETEK, Davey Tree Block Add to Acorn Alley's Success

Across from the Fairmount Properties redevelopment block on Erie Street is the new Acorn Alley II.

This new, private project is led by developer Ron Burbick of Phoenix Properties. It will bring new restaurants and retailers downtown and will link with Acorn Alley phase one.

Laziza, Zoupwerks, Tree City Coffee and Pastry, Wild Earth Outfitters, Popped!, Acorn Alley Gifts and Novelties, and the Kent Area Chamber of Commerce are just a few of the tenants coming to Acorn Alley II.

AMETEK and The Davey Tree Expert Co. will anchor the public redevelopment block spearheaded by city officials with partner Fairmount.  

Both companies will be in a reconstructed corner of downtown in the block bordered by Haymaker Parkway, South Water, Erie and South DePeyster streets.

AMETEK and Davey will occupy the majority of office space available in the 185,000 square foot-plus . It will occupy land that was once filled with retail shops and houses that have since been demolished to make way for the $29 million project.
