• Portage County obituaries for Aug. 17-18, 2026 (theportager.com) — Kent residents are invited to a Service of Remembrance for Matthew Jabin Secaur this Saturday, Aug. 22, at 2 p.m. at First Christian Church of Kent, with calling hours starting at noon. The obituary highlights his Kent roots, studies at Roosevelt High School and Kent State, and the many lives he touched, alongside brief notices for several other Portage County residents.
