E-Cycle Mania on Campus Wednesday

Kent State University has partnered with a non-profit operation dedicated to the environmentally friendly disposal of end-of-life electronic equipment. 

Take those items that have a cord and dispose of them with the recycling company RET3. 

Collection points will be available at two KSU campus locations:

• The Tri Towers Service Desk area (March 13 from 8 a.m. until midnight March 14)
• Administrative Service Building (ASB) dock area -- ASB dock area is ideal for those that wish unload directly from a vehicle. (March 13 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.)

The effort is a continuation of a RecycleMania competition "where colleges and universities strive to reduce waste and increase recycling," according to a statement posted by the university. 

Here's a list of accepted electronics:

• Personal computers
• Laptop computers
• Servers and storage devices
• Mainframe equipment
• Monitors
• Docking stations
• Floppy drives
• DVD/CD burners
• Circuit boards
• Scanners
• Copiers
• Printers
• Cables, wires, extension cords
• Digital cameras
• Cellular phones
• DVD players
• VCRs

*Televisions are not accepted. University-owned equipment will also not be accepted.
