As the deficit talks continue on capital hill, neither Democrats nor Republicans have come up with a deal that everybody can agree with. Democrats want to raise taxes to balance the budget and Republicans want to cut spending.
President Obama has been meeting with congressional leaders in the past few weeks to try to find an answer to the deficit. The issue surrounding the arguments now is how much to raise the debt ceiling. And four issues are causing an overwhelming debate: Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and tax revenues.
Many people in Northeast Ohio are waiting to see how the talks will effect their day-to-day life. Are they worried about the talks and what the outcome will lead to? Should we be cutting spending or raising taxes? What do citizens think should happen?
