• Lakewood police names Ranger alum as new school resource officer (cleveland.com) — Lakewood's police department has appointed 2014 Lakewood High School graduate Gabrielle Rovito as the new school resource officer serving her alma mater and the district. Born and raised in Lakewood, she joins another SRO in focusing on student safety, relationship-building, and community engagement across Lakewood High School and Lake Catholic Academy.
   

• Lakewood one step closer to Becks Pool renovation at Madison Park (cleveland.com) — Lakewood is moving ahead with a multimillion-dollar overhaul of Becks Pool at Madison Park, with construction expected to start after the 2027 swim season and reopening in 2028. City planners, the mayor, and Sixmo Architecture are shaping an inclusive, modern facility featuring a lap pool, diving board, lazy river, splash pad, and upgraded amenities based on resident feedback.
   

• Amid resident outrage, FirstEnergy recommits to $19 million Lakewood plan (thelandcle.org) — Lakewood officials pressed FirstEnergy at City Hall as the utility recommitted to a $19 million package of upgrades, including smart meters and substation work, after repeated local outages. With state regulators ordering corrective actions and residents describing serious medical risks from power loss, council vowed to keep pressure on FirstEnergy and monitor promised infrastructure improvements.
