Lakewood City Council Swearing-In Ceremony To Be Held Monday
Newly-elected councilpersons Jason Shachner and Tess Neff and re-elected councilpersons Dan O'Malley and John Litten will be sworn-in.

LAKEWOOD, OH — Four members of Lakewood City Council will be sworn-in on Monday during a public ceremony. Newly-elected councilpersons Jason Shachner and Tess Neff, along with re-elected councilpersons Dan O'Malley and John Litten, will officially claim their seats on council.
The swearing-in ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. in the City Hall Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.
Shachner was elected to represent Ward 2, while Neff represents Ward 1. Neff beat Laura Rodriguez-Carbone in Ward 1 in November, while Shachner defeated Brad Presutto.

O'Malley is the representative for Ward 4, and Litten the representative for Ward 3. Litten beat a challenge from Jeff Wise in November. O'Malley ran unopposed in his ward.
The councilpersons swearing-in comes after new mayor Meghan George took her oath of office. Last week, in a ceremony held in Lakewood City Council Chambers, George was sworn-in as the city's mayor. "Thank you residents of Lakewood. I am honored by the faith you have shown in me and I am ready for the work ahead," she said in a statement posted to social media.
