'Parks and Recreation's' Adam Scott Talks to Hillary Clinton Supporters in Lakewood
The actor called Clinton the most qualified candidate to ever run for president.

LAKEWOOD, OH — Parks and Recreation may be off the air, but Adam Scott, known for his portrayal of Ben Wyatt on the show, returned to the political arena on Sunday.
Scott spoke to Hillary Clinton supporters in Lakewood on Saturday, telling them that this year's election was different and darker than in previous years. He said he had grown up in a household of Democrats but always respected the Republican nominee.
"I never doubted that any of those [former Republican nominees and presidents] were eager to serve; that in their hearts they were patriots, for lack of a better word, people who were ready to step up and serve their country," he said.

Scott then continued saying:
This year there's something much darker happening on the other side and it's not a Republican thing - at all. As much as I disagree with their platform, I can respect it. This is not a Republican platform that Donald Trump is putting forth. This is a man, a racist man, who is disdainful of our Bill of Rights and our Constitution. It's a little crazy.
He added that, to him, Clinton is an inspiring figure. "This is a person who has dedicated most of her life to public service, the most qualified person to ever run for president. I am eager and excited and it will be my honor to cast my vote for her," he said.

The actor also made stops in Shaker Heights, Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland and Oberlin.
Scott was part of a star-studded Clinton pitch to Ohio voters this weekend. The West Wing cast made a two-day tour through the state that culminated in a rally in Columbus on Sunday. Chelsea Clinton also stumped for her mother last week.
With 42 days until the election, Ohioans can expect a flurry of visits from both the candidates and their representatives. Both Bill Clinton and Mike Pence have post-debate visits to Ohio scheduled for this week.
Real Clear Politics currently has Trump leading Clinton by 1.8 percentage points in Ohio. A recent Gravis poll has Trump leading by 1 point in the state. Polls from Fox News and Bloomberg both have Trump leading Clinton by 5 percentage points. Only the CBS News/YouGov poll has Clinton leading Trump, beating him by 7 percentage points.
