• No injuries reported in explosion at Cirba Solutions (lancastereaglegazette.com) — An equipment exhaust system exploded Thursday afternoon at the Cirba Solutions battery recycling plant on Quarry Road in Lancaster, damaging the roof and triggering sprinklers but causing no injuries. Firefighters helped cool equipment and remove affected material, and the fire chief says the site and surrounding area are safe while investigators work with the company to determine what went wrong.
   

• Lancaster Campus Mental Health Support & Well-Being Resources (ohio.edu) — Students at Ohio University’s Lancaster Campus can access on-site counseling in the Student Services Suite, walk-in hours twice a week, and emergency guidance including when to call 911. The campus also offers free online therapy through BetterMynd, peer support via Togetherall, and additional mental health resources, all aimed at helping Lancaster students manage stress, anxiety, and other challenges throughout the semester.
   

• Fairfield County departments and others deal with high fuel prices (centredaily.com) — Rising fuel prices are squeezing Fairfield County operations based in and around Lancaster, with the sheriff’s office and county engineer adjusting how deputies and road crews use their vehicles. Officials say higher diesel and gas costs could delay culvert replacements and other work, while local farm experts note that diesel-heavy harvesting and hauling are becoming significantly more expensive for area farmers.
