• Healthcare Shakeup: Fairfield Medical Center Pivots to Adena Health After OhioHealth Merger Collapses (sciotopost.com) — Lancaster’s Fairfield Medical Center has dropped its planned merger with OhioHealth and is now pursuing a strategic partnership with Adena Health, aiming to stabilize services and protect local access to care. Hospital leaders say patient appointments, insurance coverage, and daily operations in Lancaster will not change for now while both systems study how to collaborate and seek regulatory approvals. 
• Fairfield County auditor reminds businesses about vendor licenses (lancastereaglegazette.com) — If you run or plan to start a business in Lancaster or elsewhere in Fairfield County, you may need a vendor’s license to collect Ohio sales tax. The county auditor’s office on East Main Street can help you sort out requirements, fees, and applications, whether you’re a permanent shop or a transient vendor at fairs and festivals.
• Herbert T. Dickens - Logan-Hocking Times (loganhockingtimes.org) — A Logan resident who passed away at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster will be remembered with calling hours and funeral services this Friday in Logan. The Vietnam veteran was deeply involved in church ministry and music, and is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family. Military honors will be provided by the Hocking County Honor Guard.
