• Reminisce: The rise and fall of interurbans in Lima (limaohio.com) — Lima’s once-bustling interurban rail era comes back to life in this historical look at the trolleys and electric lines that once crisscrossed Market Street, McBeth’s Park and surrounding townships. The story traces their rapid rise around 1900, the community excitement they generated, and how cars, buses and highways eventually erased nearly every visible trace by the 1950s.

• Christian artist brings ‘Kingdom Come' tour to Lima (limaohio.com) — Michael W. Smith is bringing his “Kingdom Come” tour to Lima’s Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center this Sunday, May 17, with a 7 p.m. show in Crouse Performance Hall. The Grammy-winning Christian artist will perform songs from his 2025 album, and tickets ranging from $81 to $127 are available at the hall’s box office or online.

• OSU-Lima earns distinction for supporting students in foster care (limaohio.com) — Ohio State’s Lima campus has been recognized statewide for how it supports students with foster or kinship care backgrounds, earning the Ohio Reach Postsecondary Designation. The honor highlights OSU-Lima’s dedicated liaison, resource connections and targeted outreach, placing it among just nine Ohio institutions committing to this level of support in 2026.
