⢠Split verdict in Lima man's abduction case (limaohio.com) ā A Lima jury found a 21-year-old local man guilty of abduction but not guilty of kidnapping in connection with an attack on a woman running along the Ottawa Rotary Riverwalk. DNA evidence processed by the Lima Police Department tied him to the scene, and multiple forensic experts testified. Sentencing is set for the morning of Sept. 10.

⢠City of Lima launches 'Slow Down Lima' traffic campaign (hometownstations.com) ā Lima officials are rolling out the new āSlow Down Limaā campaign to curb speeding in neighborhoods using police speed trailers, social media messaging, and free yard signs. Mayor Sharetta Smith and city engineer Ian Kohli hope clusters of signs on blocks across Lima will remind drivers to ease off the gas and make streets safer for residents.

⢠The first small steps taken in Neil Armstrong's childhood home inspired a giant leap for mankind (theheraldreview.com) ā Neil Armstrongās boyhood home in nearby Wapakoneta, now for sale, has drawn astronauts and space enthusiasts for decades, including a visit that left Buzz Aldrin in tears. The story recalls Armstrongās roots in western Ohio, including a 1969 appearance at Limaās Allen County Airport, and highlights hopes the house remains preserved as part of local history.
