Lorain takes legislative step toward final demolition of St. Joseph Hospital site (chroniclet.com) ā Lorain City Council has fast-tracked final demolition of the long-vacant St. Joseph Hospital site at West 21st and Broadway, approving a contract worth up to about $4.15 million using grant funds. With the Lorain County Land Bank now holding the deed, officials say cleanup is underway and hope the cleared property can finally be prepared for future development.
