• Lordstown eyes moratorium on businesses using battery storage systems (tribtoday.com) — Lordstown officials have enacted a 180-day pause on permits for small mobile reactors and battery energy storage systems so they can study safety and zoning impacts. Council also plans a June 15 public hearing on extending its existing moratorium on data center permits while outside planning experts help update local zoning rules. Leaders are additionally addressing concerns about employee smoking in village vehicles.
