• Sewer Backups: Aftermath of the July Storm (thecincinnatiexchange.com) — Madeira neighborhoods were among those hit by July 17’s historic flash flooding, which triggered sewer backups and significant property damage across eastern Hamilton County. MSD has logged more than 1,800 backup reports regionwide and is still helping eligible residents with cleanup and claims. Local and county officials are now weighing major infrastructure upgrades to better protect communities like Madeira from increasingly intense storms.
