The Marietta City Council welcomes you here and thanks you for your time and concerns. Should you wish to address the council, this is the time set on the agenda for you to do so. When you are recognized, please step to the podium and state your name and address prior to addressing council. Your comments will be limited to three minutes. The council may not respond to your comments this evening, rather they may take your comments and suggestions under advisement and your questions may be directed to the appropriate staff person for follow-up. In the event of a violation of decorum, the council president will give one warning. Should a violation continue, the council president may revoke the speaking privileges, and the speaker may be subject to removal from the council chambers by the sergeant-at-arms.

• Ordinance No. 186 (20-21) An Ordinance to amend Exhibit A to Ordinance No. 206 (18-19) passed May 16, 2019, and as from time to time thereafter amended, to establish the number of officers, clerks, and employees in each department of the City of Marietta, Ohio. (SHOAF)
• Ordinance No. 187 (20-21) An Ordinance to approve the editing and inclusion of certain ordinances as parts of the various component codes of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Marietta, Ohio. (SCALES)

• Ordinance No. 193 (20-21) An Ordinance to authorize and direct the Director of Public Safety and Service to enter into a contract with Strand Associates of Columbus, Ohio to provide professional engineering services to prepare a Risk and Resiliency Assessment of the Water Treatment Plant, in an amount not to exceed $17,400.00, and declaring an EMERGENCY. • Ordinance No. 194 (20-21) An Ordinance to ratify the tentative Agreement entered into between the City of Marietta, Ohio, and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local No. 637, and declaring an EMERGENCY. (SHOAF)
• Ordinance No. 195 (20-21) An Ordinance to create seven (7) temporary seasonal laborer positions in the Service Department of the City of Marietta, Ohio, to designate the duties therefor, to establish the salary thereof, and declaring an EMERGENCY. (SHOAF)
• Ordinance No. 196 (20-21) An Ordinance to authorize and direct the Director of Public Safety and Service to enter into an Agreement on behalf of the City of Marietta, Ohio, with the Board of Commissioners of Washington County, Ohio, for services to be rendered to the City by the Southeast Ohio Building Department for the issuance of residential and commercial building permits and various permits related thereto, for the provision of building inspection and administrative services necessary for the enforcement of the various rules and regulations pertaining to the issuance of said permits, and for the provision of a variety of other administrative services generally related to the erection, construction, repair, alteration, and maintenance of all buildings or classes of buildings within the City; and, further to provide for the suspension of the City’s building permit fee schedule during the pendency of said Agreement, and declaring an EMERGENCY. • Ordinance No. 197 (20-21) An Ordinance to authorize and direct the Director of Public Safety and Service to advertise for bids and enter into a contract or contracts for the mowing, trimming, and policing of certain property’s owned by or under the control of the City of Marietta, Ohio, and declaring an EMERGENCY. • Ordinance No. 198 (20-21) An Ordinance to enact Section 949.01(h) of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Marietta, Ohio, to officially name certain real property located in the City of Marietta, Ohio, Theisen Park. (FARNSWORTH)
• Ordinance No. 199 (20-21) An Ordinance to vacate a portion of an unnamed alley located in Gracey & Kaiser’s Subdivision of Putnam and Spalding Company Lot 13 on Harmar Hill found in Plat Book 2, Page 50, of the Plat Records of Washington County, Ohio and surrounded by lands owned by Jessica Lynn Beaumier in Lot Nos. 13, 26, 28 and 29 as described in Volume 580, Page 1752 – 1754, Official Records of Washington County, Ohio. • Resolution No. 84 (20-21) A Resolution by the Council of the City of Marietta, Ohio, to authorize and direct the Director of Public Safety and Service to approve and accept the ownership of the Walnut Woods Sanitary Sewer Line, and Easements subject thereto, and the future responsibility for the maintenance thereof. • Resolution No. 85 (20-21) A Resolution to express the appreciation of the Marietta City Council to Dale L. Pierce for his service to the citizens of the City of Marietta, Ohio, as an employee of the City of Marietta. (SHOAF)
• Resolution No. 86 (20-21) A Resolution to express the appreciation of the Marietta City Council to Charles N. Farmer for his service to the citizens of the City of Marietta, Ohio, as an employee of the City of Marietta. (SHOAF)
• Resolution No. 87 (20-21) A Resolution to express the appreciation of the Marietta City Council to Jack G. Walters for his service to the citizens of the City of Marietta, Ohio, as an employee of the City of Marietta. (SHOAF)
• Resolution No. 88 (20-21) A Resolution by the Council of the City of Marietta, Ohio, to accept a donation of real property from Paul T. Theisen, Deceased, through a Transfer On Death Designation Affidavit, and to accept a further donation from Paul T. Theisen, Deceased, of personal property, being $25,000.00, with said monetary donation being contingent upon the City of Marietta, Ohio accepting the donation of real property and then agreeing to maintain the real property in the same condition and standards as other parks in the City of Marietta, Ohio.
