Marietta Community Turns Out In A Big Way For Devon Ours
There was a big turnout at the Washington County Fairgrounds for the spaghetti dinner benefiting a young man who was brutally beaten.

MARIETTA, OH — In February, 20-year-old Devon Ours was hospitalized after police said he was ambushed at an apartment on Blue Knob Road and brutally beaten with a baseball bat. Stephen Osborne, 19, Sierah Caldwell, 18, and Isiah Campbell, 17, were all arrested in connection with the incident, and charged with felony attempted murder.

Ours remains hospitalized with serious injuries. The community has raised thousands of dollars to support him and his family during this trying time.

WTAP reports that Osborne pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.
Osborne's mother, Stacey Kelley, helped organize Saturday's spaghetti dinner fundraising efforts for the Ours family. She said that between the spaghetti dinner and an ongoing raffle, they've raised more than $6,000 for Ours' family. Kelley said this is a truly tragic situation and they're trying to help.

More fundraising events are expected in the future as well. Anyone interested in donating to help out the Ours family can do so through this GoFundMe campaign. It's a little over $3,000 from the goal of $15,000. There is also a donation account set up for the Ours family at Peoples Bank. The Beverly Eagles will be hosting a fish fry for the family on Good Friday, April 2.
