Marietta museums awarded over $3 million for restoration and renovations (mariettatimes.com) — Marietta's Campus Martius and Ohio River museums are receiving more than $4.7 million in state funding for restoration, renovation, and construction, strengthening the city's status as a top small historical destination. The new Ohio River Museum is already underway, with expanded archives, community space, and exhibits planned, while additional details on Campus Martius upgrades are still forthcoming.

2. Ohio woman sues hospital that amputated her wrong leg (washingtontimes.com) — A 74-year-old Army veteran is suing Selby General Hospital in Marietta, alleging surgeons amputated the wrong leg during cancer treatment and ultimately left her a double amputee. Her attorney says the correct limb was even marked before surgery, and the hospital acknowledges procedures were not followed and staff involved are no longer employed there.

Marietta mayor lays out street work planned in coming weeks (wtap.com) — Major street work worth about $3 million is starting across Marietta, bringing micro sealing, line painting, paving, temporary no-parking zones, and detours, especially in North Hills and Harmar Hill. Expect Front and Green streets to stay closed at least another week, with more paving and crack sealing announced as dates are set and big rebuilds planned on Acme Street and Fort Harmar Drive in coming years.

Sharon Jacks wrong leg amputation lawsuit against Selby General Hospital (attackofthefanboy.com) — A Washington County woman is suing Selby General Hospital in Marietta after surgeons amputated her healthy left leg instead of the cancerous right one she consented to remove. The complaint alleges multiple safety failures in the operating room, and the hospital has acknowledged the error, removed involved staff, and later amputated her right leg, leaving her a double amputee.
