- Washington County's Warrant of the Week is Emily Marie Blevins. She's wanted for failure to appear, contempt, and disorderly conduct. Her last known address was in Cutler. If you spot Blevins call law enforcement immediately. (WCSO)
- Breakthrough COVID-19 cases seem to be rare in Ohio, that's only because Ohio is only tracking them if they result in hospitalization or death. Governor Mike DeWine says they aren't tracking breakthrough cases like many other states because they don't think those numbers are reliable. (Statehouse News)
- Once again, Athens is no longer a place for children, the student body is back. After 18 months, students are back at Ohio University. An OU spokesperson said something about students behaving responsibly and getting vaccinated. (Athens Messenger)
- August 31 will be Overdose Awareness Day in Washington County. The commissioners just voted to make the 31st a day to remember and honor those lost to drug overdoses. (Marietta Patch)
