• Lake County Board of Developmental Disabilities to host Community Job Fair (news-herald.com) — A Community Job Fair is coming to Mentor Public Schools – Paradigm on Oct. 7 from 9 a.m. to noon, giving local job seekers a chance to meet 25-plus employers. With organizations like Mentor Recreation Center, Lake Metroparks, and Laketran attending, residents can explore a wide range of opportunities and even employers can still reserve a free table.
   

• Concord Township Community Center hosts talk by local historian (news-herald.com) — Mentor Public Library is sending historian John Foster to lead a free talk on the rivalry between Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton at 10 a.m. on Oct. 13 at its Concord Township Community Center location. Space is limited, so interested Mentor-area residents should call ahead to register and enjoy an in-depth, accessible look at early American politics.
