• Garden supply manufacturer gets tax credit to expand in Middlefield, Twinsburg (cleveland.com) — Middlefield is set to gain new investment and jobs as garden supply maker Growscape expands its local operations, backed by a state job-creation tax credit. The project will help retain 386 existing positions and contribute to millions in new payroll, while similar tax-credit deals support other manufacturing and logistics projects across Ohio.
   

• Champion police charge man in woman's stabbing during fight at campground (wkbn.com) — A 19-year-old Middlefield resident has been charged with felonious assault and strangulation after a woman was stabbed during a prearranged fight at a Trumbull County campground. Champion police say the victim was attacked by a large crowd, and the suspect, still not in custody, was identified through witness accounts and cellphone video.
