• 'It's heartbreaking': Local teen continues long road to recovery following hit-and-run (dayton247now.com) — A 13-year-old boy from Middletown is recovering from severe injuries after a hit-and-run while biking near Lefferson Park, close to his family’s home. Police arrested a 35-year-old driver on multiple charges, while the teen remains in intensive rehab supported by family, school, and community donations through an online fundraiser.
   

• Skydiver from Middletown-based team crashes into scoreboard at Virginia Tech spring game (wcpo.com) — A Middletown-based professional skydiver with Team Fastrax crashed into a stadium scoreboard during a pregame jump at Virginia Tech’s spring football game but was safely rescued without injury. The team, which calls Start Skydiving in Middletown its home base, uses locally linked Selection.com-sponsored parachutes and says this is its first incident of this kind after thousands of performances.
   

• 3 hospitalized after reckless, wrong-way driver causes multi-vehicle crash in Warren County (whio.com) — A Middletown man was seriously injured when a wrong-way Chevrolet Suburban caused a three-vehicle crash on State Route 48 near Lebanon early Tuesday morning. Troopers say the Suburban crossed the median, hit a Traverse head-on, then struck the Middletown driver’s Honda Civic. All three drivers were hospitalized, northbound SR-48 was closed for several hours, and the crash remains under investigation.
