• Two Summit County firefighters to be honored with state awards (beaconjournal.com) — Longtime Mogadore firefighter and community leader Rodger Sansom is being honored with the Ohio Fire Service Distinguished Service Award for nearly five decades of service to the Mogadore community and Ohio fire service. He’ll be recognized May 12 in Columbus alongside other Northeast Ohio honorees for his leadership, mentoring, and lifesaving work, including a dramatic coal-rescue at Goodyear.
