ā¢ Time capsule finds home in bank vault (morrowcountysentinel.com) ā A new America 250 time capsule honoring todayās Mount Gilead has been sealed inside the former bank vault at the Morrow County History Center to be opened in 2076. Local leaders, including the mayor, library director, schools, and historical society, contributed items highlighting village history and daily life. Residents from across Morrow County can still propose objects by contacting the Mount Gilead Public Library.

ā¢ Preferred bypass route released (morrowcountysentinel.com) ā State transportation officials have unveiled a preferred route for the proposed U.S. 23/I-71 bypass, and one of this weekās key public meetings was held at Mt. Gilead High School. Concerned Citizens of Morrow County and allies argue the four-lane connector would damage prime farmland without proven economic benefit. Residents of Morrow, Marion, and Delaware counties can submit comments to ODOT through Sept. 1. Ā Ā Ā
