• New Philadelphia Man Charged with Attempted Murder in Delayed-Report Shooting of Girlfriend (wjer.com) — Police say a New Philadelphia man is jailed on multiple felony charges after officers learned days later that his girlfriend’s reported ankle injury was actually a gunshot wound from a May 22 argument. Investigators obtained warrants, and the 25-year-old suspect surrendered peacefully at a home on Karen Drive; he’s expected to be arraigned in Tuscarawas County this week.
