Drop by Buckeye Career Center’s Joe Carlisle Café between 4 and 7 p.m. to review preferred alternatives and share comments that will shape the final plan.
   

• New Philadelphia softball lands 5 All-OCC picks as Quakers finish strong in 2026 (yourohionews.com) — New Philadelphia High School’s softball team capped a late-season surge with a 13-15 record and five players earning All-Ohio Cardinal Conference honors, highlighted by senior standout Sara Cardini. The Quakers’ strong freshman and junior classes, including pitcher Brylinne Smith and hitter Easton Miller, position New Philadelphia to challenge Dover and other OCC powers in coming seasons.
   

• One killed, others injured in three-vehicle crash in Carroll County (timesreporter.com) — A three-vehicle crash on State Route 43 in Carroll County, investigated by the New Philadelphia Highway Patrol Post, left a 70-year-old driver dead and several others injured on June 24. Troopers say a Volkswagen attempting to pass a pickup struck an oncoming Subaru head-on, with one victim pronounced dead at the scene and others transported to area hospitals.
