• Clermont County Issues RCRA Notice of Intent to Sue Concerning Beckjord Coal Ash and Drinking Water Risks (clermontsun.com) — Clermont County commissioners have formally warned they may sue over coal ash handling at the former Beckjord power plant in New Richmond, citing potential risks to the county’s public drinking water. Officials say contaminants from unlined ash ponds could threaten well fields serving about 145,000 residents if responsible parties don’t take remedial action within 90 days.
