Community Heroes to be Saluted at Fourth Annual Field of Heroes on Memorial Day Weekend
Celebration to feature display of 1,000 flags at Jackson Township Safety Center
For the fourth consecutive year, the lawn in front of the Jackson Township Safety Center will feature an inspiring display of red, white and blue as the community hosts the 4th Annual Field of Honor/Field of Heroes, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Jackson Township.
More than 1,000 American flags will once again be on display May 22 through 25, as area individuals, organizations and businesses honor the heroes who have made a difference in their lives and in the community. Stephen A. Perry, retired former president and executive director of the Pro Football Hall of Fame and senior vice president of The Timken Company, and his wife Sondra are honorary chairpersons for this year’s event.
Flags are available for purchase online for those who wish to honor a hero in their lives. Proceeds will benefit the Wounded Warrior Projects and the Jackson Township Rotary Foundation. A schedule of events for the weekend and information about how to purchase a flag are available online at www.jacksonrotaryfoundation.com. Sponsorship information is also provided on the website.
