Field of Honor/Field of Heroes: Jackson Township, Ohio Set for Fifth Annual Event

Jackson Township Field of Honor/Field of Heroes: For the fifth consecutive year, the lawn in front of the Jackson Township Safety Center will feature an inspiring display of red, white and blue as the Stark County community hosts the 5th Annual Field of Honor/Field of Heroes during Memorial Day weekend. The annual event is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Jackson Township.

More than 1,000 American flags will once again be on display May 27 through 30, as area individuals, organizations and businesses honor the heroes who have made a difference in their lives and in the community.

Flags are available for purchase online for those who wish to honor a hero in their lives. Proceeds will benefit the Jackson Township Rotary Foundation and The Patriot Project, a Stark County-based non-profit organization dedicated to making chiropractic care available for active military, their families, wounded warriors, and Gold Star dependents. The event is being conducted in collaboration with the Jackson-Belden Chamber of Commerce; the Jackson Township Board of Trustees, Fire Department, Police Department and Parks Department; Jackson Local Schools; and a team of dedicated volunteers. Numerous businesses have provided generous monetary and in-kind sponsorships, and more sponsorship opportunities are available.

The public is cordially invited to visit the display, which will be open continuously from 10 a.m. on Friday, May 27, until 8 p.m. on Monday, May 30.
