Nearly 600 nationwide TCC stores collecting canned and boxed foods for local food banks

Local retailers collect food for local food banks

NORTH CANTON, Ohio (Dec. 13, 2016) – In 2015, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) reported that 42.2 million people across the country lived in food-insecure households.

In an effort to fight hunger in the communities it serves this holiday season, Round Room LLC, the nation’s largest Verizon Authorized Retailer, announces today that nearly 600 of its TCC stores will be collecting canned and boxed foods from customers and community members to provide to local partnering food banks.

Through its third annual “Stop Hunger” campaign, participating TCC stores across the U.S. are encouraging local families to bring in canned and boxed food items until Dec. 19. TCC has a goal of collecting 11 pounds of food across all of its participating stores, which will be delivered to hunger relief organizations nationwide on Monday, Dec. 19.
