• Ohio police rescued deer entangled in backyard hammock (upi.com) — North Canton police recently teamed up with a state wildlife officer to free a deer that became tangled in a resident's backyard hammock, marking their first rescue of this kind. Officers carefully cut the hammock, released the uninjured animal on scene, and noted they routinely help distressed deer around town in more typical situations like fences and ponds.
