• Pieces of 9/11 history preserved across Northeast Ohio: Where to find them (cleveland.com) — Olmsted Falls residents can quietly reflect on 9/11 at the city’s fire station memorial on Columbia Road, built around a 76-pound piece of steel believed to be from the World Trade Center. • John S. Perry (chroniclet.com) — Family and friends in North Ridgeville and nearby communities are mourning 88-year-old John S. Perry, a retired U.S. Army colonel and longtime steel salesman whose son James lives in Olmsted Falls. Perry’s life spanned military leadership in psychological operations, community service with civic and veterans’ groups, and deep involvement in church, history, and music. Calling hours and funeral services are scheduled this Friday and Saturday in North Ridgeville.
