• Fifth annual Heroes and Hot Rods set for Aug. 2 in Oregon (presspublications.com) — Oregon residents can look forward to the fifth annual Heroes and Hot Rods on Sunday, Aug. 2, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Oregon Recreation Center soccer fields, featuring first responders, a 400-car show, food trucks, kids’ activities, and live music. Organizers hope the expanded event will further connect Oregon families with local police, fire, and EMT crews.
   

• Gerrie pleads not guilty to felony child endangerment (presspublications.com) — A woman charged with third-degree felony child endangerment in connection with a fatal Lake Erie boating incident has pleaded not guilty in Oregon Municipal Court. She remains held on a $50,000 bond and is due back in court July 14, while authorities say two people who died in the incident drowned accidentally near Meinke Marina.
