• Olentangy students fight rising utility costs with kits for Columbus area families (nbc4i.com) — Four Olentangy Liberty High School students in Powell are assembling and giving out energy-saving kits to help low-income central Ohio families cut rising utility bills. Working with United Way of Delaware County and grant funding, they've already distributed 200 kits and are tweaking materials based on family feedback while exploring partnerships for home energy audits.

• Ohio Soccer Falls to Indiana (ohiobobcats.com) — A hometown connection showed up on the scoreboard as Ohio University senior Jaimason Brooker, from Powell, scored in the Bobcats' 3–2 loss to Indiana in Athens. Ohio rallied late with another goal but couldn't overcome an early Hoosiers lead and now heads to Duquesne to close nonconference play.
