• Richmond Heights offers free sidewalk repairs for seniors and disabled residents (cleveland19.com) — Richmond Heights is now offering free sidewalk repairs for residents 65 and older and those with permanent disabilities, with $150,000 budgeted for this new pilot program. About 22 residents have already applied, and approved repairs should begin within 60 to 90 days. You can still apply at City Hall or through the city’s website.
   

• Judges skeptical of Ohio school choice arguments in vouchers lawsuit (cleveland.com) — Richmond Heights Local School District is being used as a key example in a major lawsuit challenging Ohio’s school voucher programs, with lawyers arguing the district gets far less state funding per student than voucher amounts. Attorneys say Richmond Heights must seek private grants and even collect rainwater in trash cans to cope with funding gaps. A ruling from the appeals court is expected in coming months.
