• Sidney Rotary Club announces scholarship winners (sidneydailynews.com) — A Russia student, Faith York, is among four Shelby County seniors honored with scholarships from the Sidney Rotary Club, earning a $1,000 award for leadership and community service. The club reviewed 29 applications countywide, scoring students on need, academics, involvement, and interviews, and also introduced a new $2,500 memorial scholarship for a future educator. 
• Baseball: Russia struggles with RISP in regional loss to Newton (sidneydailynews.com) — Russia High School’s Raiders saw their baseball season end in a 5-1 regional semifinal loss to Newton in Cedarville, struggling to deliver hits with runners in scoring position. Coach Kevin Phlipot praised the team’s resilience, highlighted standout efforts from Maddox Goubeaux and Cooper Unverferth, and reflected on what graduating seniors mean for the program’s future.
