• Cedar Point offers new 'Morning Rush' for early roller coaster rides (beaconjournal.com) — Sandusky-area thrill seekers can now buy special Morning Rush tickets for early roller coaster rides at Cedar Point, starting Friday, June 5, from 7:30 to 11 a.m. For $95, guests get exclusive access to select coasters, all-day dining, a T-shirt and a Fast Lane Plus voucher, though regular park admission is extra and Coastermania is canceled this summer. 
• Sandusky City Schools cuts jobs amid funding shortfall, and parents are upset (news5cleveland.com) — Sandusky City Schools is eliminating 27 positions, including a beloved K-6 athletics and activities coordinator, to close a $1.6 million budget gap and avoid running out of money by 2029. Parents and alumni packed a recent board meeting to protest the cuts, but leaders say all programs, transportation, and class sizes will be maintained while a new superintendent arrives in August.
