• Sandusky man charged with murder after fatal shooting (news-herald.com) — Sandusky police have charged a 28-year-old local man with murder after a May 31 shooting on Pearl Street that left another man dead. The suspect is held in Erie County Jail on $1 million bond, with a pre-trial hearing set for June 10, and detectives still seeking information from residents as the investigation continues. 
• Midges swarm Northeast Ohio, leaving some rollercoaster riders covered (news5cleveland.com) — If you’re heading to Cedar Point or fishing around Sandusky this week, be ready for thick swarms of midges that can leave riders and boaters literally covered. Locals describe coasters plowing through clouds of insects and anglers relying on bug spray and torches, but experts say these short-lived flies actually signal a healthy Lake Erie and will peak through the hot summer months.
• Six Flags bans influencer from all parks for life after roller coaster stunt (celebitchy.com) — A viral stunt at Cedar Point in Sandusky has led Six Flags to permanently ban a social media influencer from all of its parks after he tried to eat chicken nuggets on the Millennium Force coaster. Park officials stressed that loose items, including food, are strictly prohibited on rides for safety reasons, and the creator has since posted an online apology.
