Park leaders say the new system, part of a broader Six Flags initiative, is meant to help guests decide whether to keep waiting or try another attraction.

2. Dredging to occur in Sandusky's harbor (sanduskyregister.com) — Sandusky’s harbor will be dredged again this year, with most of the sediment helping expand wetlands near the Cedar Point Causeway and keep Great Lakes shipping lanes safe. City leaders are coordinating with the Army Corps and ODNR while still searching for a permanent public works administrator, as interim director Josh Snyder oversees both the dredging plan and a growing engineering team.

3. Sandusky man dies in Milan Township crash (morningjournal.com) — A 30-year-old Sandusky resident died after his SUV ran a stop sign on River Road at State Route 113 in Milan Township and overturned into a ravine Saturday night. The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Sandusky Post is still investigating the single-vehicle crash, which drew response from multiple Erie County emergency agencies.

4. Huron man receives jail time for soliciting sex (sanduskyregister.com) — In Sandusky, a Huron man originally indicted on several serious sex-related felonies recently pleaded guilty to a reduced misdemeanor soliciting charge in Erie County Common Pleas Court. He received about two months in the Erie County Jail and monthly supervision fees, after prosecutors agreed to dismiss three higher-level felony counts tied to a 2023–2024 investigation.

5. Sandusky goes 3-0 on first day of Deuce Brand (sanduskyregister.com) — Sandusky High’s Blue Streaks opened the Deuce Brand Summer Classic at Cedar Point Sports Center with a perfect 3-0 record, leaning on tough defense and a deep guard group. Other nearby programs, including Clyde, SMCC, Huron and Monroeville, also logged busy summer tune-up games as coaches evaluate rosters and build toward the winter season.
