Chagrin Boulevard Business Broken Into on Saturday: Shaker Heights Police
Someone tripped an alarm during a break-in at a Shaker Heights business. Police found damaged property and stolen good on the scene.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH - Shaker Heights police are currently searching for a serial robber who hit a BP Gas Station in the city. The department released footage of the incident on Jan. 6. However, the department still had to contend with other incidents this weekend.
Burglary, Jan. 7 - At about 3:30 in the morning, officers were called to the 20000 block of Chagrin Boulevard to investigate a business alarm at Protection 1. An unidentified suspect(s) broke into the locked building, damaged and stole property.
Fraud, Jan. 7 - A Shaker Heights resident that was selling their laptop computer on Offer-up.com reported that a buyer gave counterfeit currency to purchase the device. The unidentified suspect used the fake currency at the intersection of Avalon Road and Scottsdale Boulevard.

Motor Vehicle Theft, Jan. 8 - A car was stolen from the 19000 block of Van Aken Boulevard at about 10 p.m. The owner of the car left the keys in the unlocked vehicle. The car was a 2011 blue Toyota Camry with Ohio License plate #FDH2990.
In terms of the serial robber, Commander John Cole of the Shaker Heights Police said the man entered the gas station on Larchmere Boulevard on Dec. 26 and started to chat with the clerk. He then distracted the man and forced his way into the restricted area. The suspect then pulled out a handgun and demanded money. You can find video of the incident here.
