Teenager Robbed on Van Aken Boulevard: Shaker Heights Police

A resident also had her purse stolen from her unlocked car on North Moreland Boulevard.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH - The major incident this week in Shaker Heights was the possible murder-suicide of an elderly couple. Carol Posner, 76, is believed to have been shot to death by her husband, before he turned the gun on himself.

At 10:30 p.m. on Jan. 3, Shaker Heights police were sent to Morley Road to check on the welfare of an elderly couple that had not been in contact with their family. When officers arrived they found Posner and a man believed to be her husband dead inside the residence. Both bodies were found in the same room.

Theft, Jan. 1 - Someone stole a purse from an unlocked car in the 2000 block of North Moreland Boulevard.

Robbery, Jan. 2 - A person with a handgun robbed a 17-year-old on the 18000 block of Van Aken Boulevard. The juvenile said personal property was stolen. The incident took place at 12:18 a.m.

Theft, Jan. 2 - Copper plumbing was stolen from a vacant home in the 3000 block of Pennington Road. A contractor reported the theft.
